Nicki Shaw (born 30 December 1981) is an English cricketer and former member of the England women's cricket team.[1] She was born in Nuneaton, Warwickshire and plays county cricket for Surrey, who she currently captains. She is a right arm fast medium bowler and right-handed batsman. She has played 4 tests and over 60 one day internationals. She helped England retain the ashes on the tour of Australia in 2008 and was part of the squad for the 2009 World Cup. Told she was playing in the final only 40 minutes before the game, due to injury to Jenny Gunn Shaw took 4 wickets and scored 17 not out to steer England to victory and win the player of the match award[2]
