Les Innocents was a French rock band, quartet led by Jean-Philippe Nataf (named Jipé, sing) and Jean-Christophe Urbain (named Jean-Chri, sing and keyboards) from 1982 to 1999. Former members are Rico (bass) and Pierre Morin (drums).

Biography

Founded in 1982 in Lille, the group is like most rock bands a story of friends. Les Innocents met their first and relative success with the single "Jodie" (1987) and their first album "Cent Mètres au Paradis" (1989)Les Innocents [http://www.mcm.net/musique/ficheartiste/3534/ MCM.net] (Retrieved February 10, 2008)] . Then in 1992 the produced their album "Fous à lier" and the group was then very appreciated by the general publicElia Habib, "Muz hit. tubes", p. 266 (ISBN 2-9518832-0-X)] . The following album "Post Partum" confirmed their talent and popularity, and climbed them at the top of their glory. "Colore" was one of the singles most aired on radio in 1996. The name chosen is a tribute to the English group The Clash, which gave "anonymous" concerts under that name.

Les Innocents separated in 2000 after lukewarm reception of their latest album and because of some musical differences. JP Nataf continues a solo career.

Jean-Philippe Nataf and Jean-Christophe Urbain are close friends of the singer Jil Caplan, with whom they have worked.
