The two meet again and again in the park until one time, when she is practicing a role in the park, she learns for a child that Kohji can neither speak nor hear. From this point on, the two begin to grow closer together and Hiroko even learns Japanese Sign Language to understand Kohji better.

Translation from the TBS site:

In the middle of the bustle of the big city, how could it be that there is only one apple tree. No matter how much Hiroko jumps to try to pluck the apple, she cannot reach it. Fortunately, Kohji passes by and plucks the apple to give it to her. Kohji is a rising young artist who because he lost his hearing at the age of 7, lives by only expressing himself through paintings. Furthermore, Hiroko is a young actress who practices acting with a drama troupe while doing a part-time job. Even though their means of expression are different,Kohji and Hiroko live purely facing the same dream. Though they are both attracted to each other, several obstacles come in between them. Lyrics :
Nee dooshite sugoku sugoku sukina koto
Tada tsutaetai dake na no ni
So why could it be that when I only want to say that I really like something
Ru-ru-ru-ru-ru Umaku ienain daroo
I can't say it at all?

Nee semete yume de aitai to negau
Yoru ni nemutte ichidomo
So why could it be that when I pray at least to meet you in my dreams
Ru-ru-ru-ru-ru Detekite wa kurenai ne
You don't come to me?

Nee dooshite sugoku ai shiteru hito ni
Ai shiteru to iu dake de
So why could it be that when I only say I love you to the person I love a lot
Ru-ru-ru-ru-ru Namida ga dechaun daroo...
I cry?

Futari de atta hi ga
Even the day that we met
Sukoshi zutsu omoide ni natte mo
Little by little is becoming a memory.

Ai shiteru Ai shiteru Ru-ru-ru-ru-ru
I Love you, I love you

Nee dooshite namida ga dechaun daroo...
So why could it be that I cry?
Namida ga dechaun daroo...
I cry

LOVE LOVE
Love Love ai wo sakeboo ai wo yoboo

LOVE LOVE
Love Love ai wo sakeboo ai wo yoboo
Love Love We'll shout out love, We'll call out love
LOVE LOVE
Love Love ai wo sakeboo ai wo yoboo
Love Love We'll shout out love, We'll call out love
