Blue Mosque, Cairo

The Blue Mosque (the Aqsunqur Mosque) located in Cairo, Egypt is one of several blue mosques in the world. Completed in 1347, the Blue Mosque, located in the heart of Islamic Cairo, is of Mamluk origin. The mosque is located on Bab el-Wazir Street. As of January 2008 it is undergoing extensive renovation.
