Skinningrove was a railway station on the Whitby Redcar and Middlesbrough Union Railway. It was opened on April 1 1875, and served the village of Skinningrove and Dalehouse. It was originally named "Carlin How", but was renamed on October 1 1903 by the North Eastern Railway. It closed to normal passenger traffic on June 30 1952, but retained a workmen's service to the steelworks until May 5 1958.
