"Lissotesta decipiens" is a species of minute sea snail, a marine gastropod mollusc in the family Cyclostrematidae.

Distribution

This species is endemic to New Zealand, found off North Cape, in Cook Strait, and around the Chatham Islands.

Habitat

This snail is found at depths of between 70 and 600 m.

hell description

The shell is minute, thin, white, , smooth except for a faint ridge bordering the umbilicus, and associated crenulations caused by axial growth lines, elsewhere obsolete.

The shell height is up to 1.4 mm, and the width is up to 1.4 mm.
