The station was opened in 1866, as part of Randsfjordbanen. In 1872 Vikersund became the terminus of
Krøderbanen , a 26 km branch line to Lake Krøderen. In 1985 Krøderbanen was abandoned and transformed to aheritage railway . The heritage railway outings are based at Vikersund Station.External links
