It was abolished in 1918 to re-create Huntingdonshire; that constituency was renamed, after slight boundary changes, to form the current constituency of Huntingdon. The constituency consists of the towns of
St Neots ,Huntingdon , St Ives,Godmanchester and a number of smaller settlements in the south-west part ofCambridgeshire (East Anglia ), neighbouringBedfordshire , andNorthamptonshire . There were minor boundary changes at the 1983 General Election.Boundary review
