Type = National Theflag of Ladonia is a greennordic cross flag . However, it has the unusual feature that this cross is invisible on the official flag since it has the same color as the background. Because of this, a variant with white contours is often used, not least to distinguish the flag from theflag of Libya .The flag’s color is defined in the
sRGB color space as the value #009000 (red: 0, green: 144, blue: 0). The flag is 13 units high and 21 units wide. The cross arms are 3 units broad. The left green “background” fields are square. The horizontal division is thus 5 : 3 : 13, the vertical division 5 : 3 : 5.The intention behind the ratio (13:21), the unit counts 3, 5, 13 and the green channel value 144 is the use of
Fibonacci numbers . An important aspect of this is that the ratio between consecutive Fibonacci numbers approximates theGolden Ratio 0.618… Therefore the proportion Fraction|13|21 = 0.619… is supposed to be of aesthetic value. Similarly, rectangles of the proportions Fraction|8|13 = 0.615…, Fraction|5|8 = 0.625 and Fraction|3|5 = 0.6 can be found in the flag. Besides, squares of side lengths 3, 5, 8 and 13 can be found.Ladonia also has a naval flag. It is essentially white with a green cross, with several additional features.
