Birmingham, Erdington is a constituency represented in the House of Commons of the Parliament of the United Kingdom. It elects one Member of Parliament (MP) by the first past the post system of election. It is strongly inclined to elect Labour MPs, although the Conservatives were close challengers in the 1980s.

Boundaries

In the north-east of the city of Birmingham, this is a mix of council estates and more affluent suburbs up against the Sutton Coldfield border. The Spaghetti Junction motorway junction is within this constituency. The large Kingstanding council estate is also within this seat.

Boundary review

Following their review of parliamentary representation in Birmingham and the West Midlands, the Boundary Commission for England have created a modified Birmingham, Erdington constituency with the following wards:

*Erdington, Kingstanding, Stockland Green and Tyburn.
