Matt Grant

Matthew Christian Grant (born July 17, 1980 in Hertfordshire, England) Is the twelfth Bachelor, and the first truly international Bachelor, on the American reality TV series "The Bachelor". He is an English financier and business development manager from London and worked at Lombard Asset Finance (RBS) in Cambridge for three years before moving to London. Grant received a B.A. in modern history and politics from Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge. He captained the university's rowing team and skis, plays rugby, cricket, and tennis. Matthew, the youngest of five brothers and the tallest at 6'5", was born in Bishop's Stortford, a small town in Hertfordshire, England. He currently lives in London. His ideal attributes in a woman are a sense of adventure, playfulness, fun, a love of travel and the outdoors, a sense of humour, self-deprecation, and an outgoing personality.

He was engaged to Shayne Lamas after the couple met on "The Bachelor"'s twelfth season. "People Magazine" reported their split on July 24, 2008.
