James River Assembly of God

[http://www.jamesriver.org James River Assembly] ' (JRA) is the second largest Assemblies of God Church in the United States. It is located in Ozark, Missouri.

Community outreach

JRA has many different community outreach events such as the annual Fourth of July Event "I Love America! Celebration". JRA also hosts an annual Christmas concert that is often broadcast on local TV. In 2007, the attendance for the 11th annual I Love America celebration reached approximately 120,000 people.

James River Leadership College

In 2007, JRA introduced the James River Leadership College - in partnership with Central Bible College in Springfield, Missouri. James River Leadership College is a Bible college that is focused on developing leaders for church ministry. JRLC offers a fully accredited degree and desires that students learn about the Bible and leadership in ministry both in the classroom and through hands on experience. All JRLC classes take place on the James River Assembly campus and are taught by professors from JRLC, CBC, and Assemblies of God Theological Seminary. The students ministry experience is dependent upon the "leadership practicum" they choose when they begin the program. The program is a total of 69 credits and takes two years to complete.

Changing History

In June 2007, James River Assembly launched the "Changing History Campaign" through this campaign, JRA is adding a 24,000 square foot two story addition to the children's wing, as well as remodeling in the children's wings and the realife student center. The estimated cost of construction is over 8 Million. On April 15, 2008 the average attendance was 9,015. Compared to last year the attendance rate has risen approximately 1,200 people.

James River Choir

The 200+ Choir has performed at locations such as Silver Dollar City and Busch Stadium.
