Sunnu, or Sünnu (Ch. 匈奴
Xiongnu , Hsiung-nu, etc) was one of the Hunnish (Ch. "γuən" [Zuev Yu.A., "Horse Tamgas from Vassal Princedoms" pp. 128, 139] ) tribes of the Hun confederation, who in the period of the ChineseHan dynasty (206 BCE - 220 CE) inhabited the Southern and CentralMongolia .
