History

*February 1, 1889: Opened as Sano Station(佐野駅) of National Railway along with its opening.
*October 12, 1909: Became a station of Tōkaidō Main Line.
*July 15, 1915: Renamed to Susono Station(裾野駅).
*December 1, 1934: Became a station of Gotemba Line.
*March 10, 1974: Discontinued freight services.
*February 1, 1984: Discontinued baggage-handling services.
*April 1, 1987: Along with its division and privatization of JNR, Central Japan Railway Company started operating this station.
