Eparchy of Košice

The Eparchy of Košice is an eparchy of the Slovak Greek Catholic Church which covers the territory of the Košice Region in Slovakia. The eparchy is suffragan to the metropolitan Archeparchy of Prešov. It was established on 30 January, 2008 by Holy Father Benedict XVI on the basis the Apostolic Exarchate created previously by his predescessor John Paul the Great.
