Tsuneo Imahori (今堀 恒雄 "Imahori Tsuneo", born 1962) is a
Japan eseguitar ist andcomposer . He started to play acoustic guitar aged 12, inspired by Britishfolk music from the likes ofBert Jansch , and later the work ofFrank Zappa andAndy Partridge . In 1986 he formed the bandTipographica , with saxophonist Naruyoshi Kikuchi andjazz pianist Akira Minakami. After 4 albums, the group disbanded in 1996.After providing the soundtrack to "
Gungrave " for thePlayStation 2 in 2002, the concept was subsequently developed into ananime series, also scored by Imahori. In addition to scoring the anime series, Imahori composed the music for "Gungrave's" 2004 video game sequel "", also for the PS2. He is perhaps best known in the US as the composer of severalanime soundtrack s, primarily "Trigun ", "Gungrave" and "Hajime no Ippo ", though he has also contributed tracks to "Texhnolyze ",Wolf's Rain , and "Cowboy Bebop ". He's worked withYoshida Tatsuya of Ruins fame, and also withYoko Kanno as a member of The Seatbelts.External links
