"Sinezona iota" is a species of minute sea snail, a marine gastropod mollusc in the family Scissurellidae.

Distribution

This species is endemic to Stewart and Bounty Islands, and The Snares islands, of New Zealand.

hell description

The shell is minute, opaque-white, with an exserted spire, moderately wide sloping shoulder area, sharp-edged prominent , with an ovate foramen, back from the outer lip, a narrow umbilicus, and nine sharp radials that do not cross the subperipheral constriction.

The shell height is up to 0.9 mm, and width 0.8 mm.
