The story takes place in
Pennsylvania and tells the story of a 16 year old girl named Miranda, whose life is interrupted when a meteor hits the moon and knocks it closer to the Earth. As a result, worldwide disasters such astsunami s,earthquake s, and volcanic eruptions occur. Every day is a struggle as supermarkets run out of food, and gas runs up to ten dollars a gallon with only five gallons per fill up per person. States are closing their entrances. Her family must get by during the situation which is seemingly apocalyptic as a dreadful winter comes about. Throughout the novel her relationship with her friends and family is tested as they struggle to get through this rough time.References
