František Čapek

František Čapek

František Čapek (October 24, 1914 – January 31, 2008) was a Czechoslovakian canoeist.

He was born in Branice, Písek District.

Čapek won the gold medal at the 1948 Summer Olympics in the C-1 10000 metres event. In 1954, he went on to win a silver medal at the 4th ICF Flatwater Racing World Championships held at Mâcon, France.
