Mr. Dizzy promises the moon is a television episode in the Mr. Men and Little Misses series.
Story
Mr. Dizzy is not very clever, some people call him dizzy. He does not know how to read, so he buys picture books. The smart animals laugh at him. Mr. Dizzy is sad and goes off. Mr. Cheerful and Little Miss Greedy come along and cheer Mr. Dizzy up. Then two young kids come and ask Mr. Dizzy for a surprise. Mr. Dizzy gives them a story. Little Miss Greedy says "You could go as far as promising the moon!" and Mr. Dizzy sets off. Mr. Dizzy tries to catch the moon and of course he fails. Later on Mr. Cheerful, Little Miss Greedy and Farmer Fields find out. They put out a fake moon and Mr. Dizzy catches it and makes new moons out of silver cardboard, and gives them to the children.
