Swami Krishnananda

Swami Krishnananda was a foremost disciple of Swami Sivananda and the General-Secretary of the Divine Life Society in Rishikesh, India from 1958 until 2001. Early life

Swamiji was born in Puttur in Dakshina Kannada District of Karnataka State in Southern India on April 25 1922. He was named Subbaraya at birth.

Spiritual Life

During the summer of 1944 Swami Krishnananda met his spiritual teacher Swami Sivananda Saraswati.

Death

Swami Krishnananda attained mahasamadhi on November 23 2001 in Sivananda Ashram, Rishikesh, India.
