Joel Cox

Joel Cox is an American Academy Award-winning film editor. He is best known for collaborating with Clint Eastwood on 30 films.

Biography

Cox has been working in film since appearing as a baby in "Random Harvest" (1942). His first film as an assistant editor was on the 1969 film "The Wild Bunch" directed by Sam Peckinpah. Cox has collaborated with Clint Eastwood on 30 films since the 1976 film "The Outlaw Josey Wales". Eastwood has re-cut only one scene that Cox has put together in 30 years. He is currently editing the 2008 film "Gran Torino".
