2004Phillip (Phil) William Morris (born 10 September 1975 in
Newport ,Wales ) is an internationalmotorcycle speedway rider who rides for theBirmingham Brummies < in the British Premier League. Before being signed on a full transfer by the Birmingham prior to the 2008 season, Morris spent many years riding for theReading Racers where he was rewarded for his loyalty with a testimonial in 2000. He finished 3rd in the 2002 PLRC and won the PL Pairs alongside Danny Bird for the club in 2004. Unfortunately Morris has suffered a number of injuries in his career and 2008 has been no exception he suffered serious internal injuries in a crash at Mildenhall in early April and on his return to action in late May he suffered a dislocated shoulder at Rye House. Morris is planning a return to the saddle in 2009 for what will be his 19th season in the sport.He has also appeared on a number of UK game shows including
