Nebneteru , who was "High Priest of Amun" and Merytre who was "Chief of the Harem of Amun" [cite web|url=http://euler.slu.edu/Dept/Faculty/bart/egyptianhtml/kings%20and%20Queens/Viziers.html#19th_and_20th_Dynasty|title=Viziers|accessdate=2008-01-29] and was part of the close entorage of Seti I's son, the then Prince Ramesses. He was appointed Chief Chamberlain during Seti's reign, and thenFan-bearer on the Right Side of the King , "High Priest of the Goddess of Great of Magic" (referring toNeith ) and "Chief of the Secrets of the Two Goddesses" and then later Vizier during the reign of his son, serving for 25 years.
