Bernardo Bertolucci , and for regularly appearing in films by French directorChristophe Honoré , including "Ma mère ", "Dans Paris " and "Les Chansons d'amour ".Garrel is a graduate of the
Paris Conservatory . He was awarded the 2006Cesar Award for Best Male Newcomer for his work in "Les Amants réguliers", directed by his father and featuring his grandfather in a supporting role.According to an interview with
Michael Pitt in the "New York Daily News ", Garrel, just before the shooting the first nude scene in "The Dreamers", ran nude through every room on the set screaming. The prank broke the tension and "loosened everybody up."Garrel speaks French, English and Italian fluently.
