- Emanuel Feldman
Rabbi Dr. Emanuel Feldman is Rabbi Emeritus of Beth Jacob Congregation of Atlanta, a lecturer and author. Rabbi Feldman is a former editor (1998-2001) of Tradition, the Orthodox Journal.
He is an alumnus of
Yeshivas Ner Yisroel ofBaltimore , Maryland and the elder brother of its Rosh Yeshiva, RabbiAharon Feldman . His father, Rabbi Joseph H. Feldman was the last official chief Rabbi of Baltimore, Md. He is also a very talented writer whose work appears, among many sources, on cross-currents.comIn 2006-7, he wrote a regular column for "
The Jerusalem Post ". For example, he used the newly-formedIsrael Baseball League to critiqueIsraeli society : "Baseball teaches the value of home. The goal of the batter, who stands at home plate, is to advance around the bases and ultimately return to home. Unfortunately, the goal of modern Israeli society is to get ahead, leaving the values of home behind." Rabbi Feldman served as the rabbi of Congregation Beth Jacob for thirty nine years. He created a community which now consists of day schools, yeshivos, a kollel, and much more.
