Joseph Ryelandt

Joseph Ryelandt (April 7 1870 Bruges – June 29 1965 also in Bruges)cite web|title=Ryelandt Biography|publisher=CeBeDeM|url=http://www.cebedem.be/composers/ryelandt_joseph/en.html|accessdate=2008-01-27] was a Belgian classical composer.

Ryelandt intended to study law, but changed his mind and in 1891 became a private composition pupil of Edgar Tinel.

From 1924 through 1945, except for a gap of two years caused by World War II, Ryelandt directed the Municipal Conservatory of Bruges.

A mass from 1934 has also been recorded (on BIS records), as has a setting of the Agnus Dei.
