Controversy

During construction of the station's broadcast tower, there was signifcant local opposition to the height of the structure and proximity of the transmitter to critical elements of the city’s electric and water systems.cite news |work=Dover Post |title=Church radio tower issue still unresolved: Neighbors, city officials fear interference; church cites First Amendment rights |url=http://www.doverpost.com/PostArchives/05-18-05/pages/newschurch.html |date=2005-05-18 |first=Jane |last=Brooks] Dead link|date=September 2008 Representatives of Capitol Baptist Church brought in the Christian Law Association as part of their negotiations with the Dover Planning Commission. The church offered to reduce the height of the tower and build the tower closer to their building and further away from a nearby electric system substation. The situation was ultimately resolved with a relocated transmitter and a tower height reduced from 100 to 85 feet.
