Andreas Jacobs

W. Andreas Jacobs (born December 1963) is a Bremen-born billionaire who lives in Germany and is a German national. [cite news |first= |last= |authorlink= |coauthors= |title= W. Biography

Jacobs, the son of billionaire Klaus Johann Jacobs is descended from a house that dates back over 900 years. He attended the University of Freiburg, University of Munich and later Montpellier (France). He obtained a doctorate in European competition law from the University of Freiburg, and also earned a of Business Administration from INSEAD in Fontainebleau, France.

Since around 1992 Jacobs has been an independent entrepreneur with a stake in several companies (Minibar AG, Baar, and Acentic GmbH) plus minority interests in several other companies. He worked during this period as a consultant and project manager at The Boston Consulting Group in Munich. One of his more significant investments was the Canadian coffee maker Nabob from Jacobs-Suchard, and profited several hundreds of millions of francs in the successful re-launch.He also participated in the purchase and sale of shoemaker Paiso, Schmidlin and Infront.

In 2003, Jacobs was nominated to the Board of Barry Callebaut, and in December 2005, he was appointed Chairman of the Board. He is a member of the Nomination and Compensation Committee. His current term expires in 2008.

He is also Chairman of Jacobs Holding AG, Vice Chairman of Infront Sports & Media AG and member of the Board of Adecco SA.

In addition to being a son of his famous father, he has a brother Christian, and he is married to Natalie Jacobs and has four children - Nicholas Patrice, Constantin Lucien, Chiara Camille and Louis Alexy.
