Jacobs, the son of
billionaire Klaus Johann Jacobs is descended from a house that dates back over 900 years. He attended theUniversity of Freiburg ,University of Munich and later Montpellier (France). He obtained a doctorate in European competition law from the University of Freiburg, and also earned a of Business Administration fromINSEAD in Fontainebleau, France.Since around 1992 Jacobs has been an independent entrepreneur with a stake in several companies (Minibar AG, Baar, and Acentic GmbH) plus minority interests in several other companies. He worked during this period as a consultant and project manager at
The Boston Consulting Group in Munich.
