Fatima Sughra binte Hussain

Fatimah Sugra was daughter of Imam Husayn ibn Ali. She was the only daughter whom Husayn did not take along with him on his way to Kufa. When asked, Husayn is said to have foretold that he and his companions will be martyred in Karbala on 10th of Muharram, his women and children will be taken captive. And that, veils will be taken away from these captives and they will be made to march on the streets of Kufa and Syria without hijab. After having revealed the above incidents, Husayn said that Fatimah Sughra had striking resemblance with his mother Fatimah Zahra and he would not tolerate that his mother be humiliated in public.
