White studied classical dance, contemporary, drama and mime at the

White has had a prolific career in dance. A highlight has been being awarded first place in the Australian Commonwealth Cup. She danced with the
Australian Ballet from 1987-1990 under the artistic direction ofMaina Gielgud AO . White toured with the company to Asia, Russia, Greece, England and America. Her repertoire included the major classics as well as performing works from choreographers such asJiri Kylian ,Maurice Bejart andSir Kenneth McMillan .As a soloist her career continued overseas with her acceptance into the
Wiener Ballet Theatre followed by seasons with theBrno National Ballet inCzech Republic ,Theater Vorpommern inGreifswald ,Germany and several other English and Italian companies. During this time she performed in works such as "Carmen", "Cinderella", "Peer Gynt" and several contemporary pieces. From 1999-2001, Jodie-Anne performed as Principal Soloist with theBalletto del Sud inItaly and finally Principal withTeatro Lirico Giuseppe Verdi inTrieste . Italy where she continues to return regularly to guest with the company.Teacher
White teaches and choreographs with her husband,
Boris Bivona . They have both honed their skills through work both individually and together in America, Europe and Australia. Most recently Jodie-Anne and Boris have been involved with teaching at theYouth Ballet Summer School , atExpressions Dance Theatre Company and with ongoing education programs with theQueensland Arts Council in collaboration withQueensland Ballet . They also continue with their activities with theDarling Downs School of Excellence , coaching the elite dancers. Jodie-Anne and Boris have recently opened their new teaching studio in Brisbane.References
