The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences is part of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences at the
University of Cambridge . It comprises three departments: Politics, Social and Developmental Psychology, and Sociology. It also includes the Centre for Family Research.The faculty is currently spread across two sites. The Social & Political Sciences Library and the Departments of Sociology and Social Psychology are on Free School Lane at the

Tripos (commonly known as "SPS") has been running atCambridge University , in some form, since 1970, being fully established underAnthony Giddens . For undergraduates, the course is initially multi-disciplinary, encompassing Politics, Psychology, Sociology and Social Anthropology.
