Shawn Weller (born July 8, 1986), of South Glens Falls, New York, is a professional ice hockey left winger playing for the Binghamton Senators of the American Hockey League (AHL). He graduated from South Glens Falls and played one year of high school hockey, his sophomore year. He has a younger sister, Hannah. She also attends South Glens Falls High School.

Playing career

Weller was playing for Capital District Selects of the Eastern Junior Hockey League when drafted. He was drafted in the third round, 77th overall by the Ottawa Senators in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft. The pick had been received in a trade with the Montreal Canadiens for Radek Bonk.

After being drafted, Weller enrolled in Clarkson University, playing three seasons. In 2006-07, he was Clarkson's leading scorer with 41 points, including a team-high 19 goals. After the 2006-07 NCAA season was finished, he made his professional debut with the Binghamton Senators for 5 games. Shawn Weller auctioned away one of his Binghamton Sentors hockey sticks, signed by the entire team at the 2008 South High Marathon Dance. All the money gained from the 28 hour dance went to charities. The dance overall made more than $245,000.
