History

In Shri Vayu Yukta Shivshanhita ,Narmada Mahatmaya(Written by Maharushi Markendey Muni) Adhyaya No. 333 to 335 describing the Origin of Shri Siddha-Rudhra Bhramin and the Place of Shri Shiddheswar Mahadev. It is translation of Book which was wrtten in Sanskrit by Late Shri Ganpatray Narayanshankar Shukal. As per mythology they came from Ganga and Sarasvati region and settled near Bhrugukaccha (Bharuch),Ankureshwar(Ankleshwar)and Siddhra-Rudhra (Sajod). Presently there are many evidence of origin of this cast, as per Anavil Brahmin's Book Anavil and Shiddhra-Rudhra are two different branches of main.

Present 872 families, with total population of around 3834 as per 1999-2000 census. They have had a diaspora to many cities in India along with foreign settlements. By profession they are Farmers, Businessmen, Administrators, Doctors and Engineers.
