John Fischer (golfer)

John W. Fischer was an American golfer in the 1930s. He won the 1932 NCAA individual golf championship and the Big Ten Conference individual championship in 1932, 1933 and 1935. [ [http://www.usamateur.org/2007/history/past-champions/1936.html 1936 U.S. Amateur] - on USGA's official site] He was inducted into the University of Michigan Athletic Hall of Honor in 1980 as part of the third induction class. Only one Michigan golfer (Chuck Kocsis) was inducted into the Hall of Honor before Fisher.
