Bob Holmes (born in
Greenock ,Scotland ) is a British artist,Webby Awards winning web designer and digital art director.He is an alumnus of
Dundee Art College and studied Printmaking atChelsea School of Art in the late 80's under Tim Mara (alumni includeDirk Bogarde , Actor and Author,Patrick Caulfield , Painter and Printmaker,Anish Kapoor , 1991 Turner Prize winner andDavid Hockney , Artist).Holmes first came to attention with his early pioneering animation work, using interactive multimedia with
Macromedia (nowAdobe ) Director & Flash.In collaboration with James Widegren, he conceived of May 1st Reboot, an international unified reinvigoration of the World Wide Web that occurs yearly on
May 1 at 2 pm GMT.Colin Moock described his work for EIE (eie.pushlabs.ca) in 2007 as ‘Flash extrordinaire’.
