Notable Alumni
*Musician and actor Ian Reddington, who currently portrays the role of Vernon Tomlin in the ITV soap opera "Coronation Street" attended the school from 1969 until 1974.
*Susan Ann Sulley and Joanne Catherall of the internationally famous pop group The Human League attended the school between 1978 and 1981, they continued at the school while at the height of their fame to take their A level exams.
