- Southern Michigan
Southern Michigan is a subregion of
Central Michigan in the Lower Peninsula of theU.S. state ofMichigan . It is a region of rolling farmland and scattered urban centers. Southern Michigan is commonly considered to be the area west of theSoutheast Michigan area and east of Battle Creek, consisting of Jackson and everything to the south. The largest city is Jackson, by other definitions will include Lansing as part if this region, and would therefore be the largest city in it. Other main cities include Albion, Coldwater, and Hillsdale.Notes
