California , where it is known from only about ten occurrences in the vicinity ofMount Eddy near the border between Siskiyou and Trinity Counties. It is a state-listed endangered species because of its rarity. This is a perennial herb growing in mats no more than 15 centimeters wide and eight tall. The woolly greenish leaves are rounded and one to three centimeters long. The plant produces an erectinflorescence of bright yellow to pinkish flowers, each under a centimeter wide. The fruit is anachene about half a centimeter long.External links
