"Terms of Endearment" was the seventh episode of the sixth season of "The X-Files" science-fiction television series created by Chris Carter.

Plot

After a pregnant couple discover that their child has birth defects, the child is abducted from the mother's womb by an apparent demon. Spender is called down to talk to the police, but dismisses the case as irrelevant to the X-Files. Mulder steals the case and investigates this apparent demon.

Notes

The "glowing milk" scene in this episode is an homage to Alfred Hitchcock's Suspicion.

What the mother is supposed to have said while "in a trance" - "Zazas, zazas, nastanada zazas" - are what the occultist Aleister Crowley used to open the 10th Aethyr, that of the Thelemic devil Choronzon.
