The club was founded in 1950 and was the first club to be established after World War II. In the beginning the members played in a field next to Eelde Airport.
Current Head Greenkeeper is Allan Salmond, who won the 2010 Head Greenkeeper of the Year award for the Netherlands.[citation needed]
