In September 2006,
Young Buck announced that he intended on launching his own label, named Cashville Records.50 Cent , encouraged Young Buck's efforts, despite Young Buck still being signed toG-Unit Records , as he wanted the two labels to have a good relationship. The label was originally called G-Unit South, but as it was not under the Interscope umbrella, a name change was in order. At the time of the announcement of the label, Young Buck had signed Lil' Murder and Hi-C as solo artists, and collectively as a group, of which he is also a member, known as "615", which refers to theNashville, Tennessee area code, where Young Buck was raised.
