fudge , semi-soft milktoffee candies. It is one of the most common Polish confectioneries, sold worldwide.Actually, the taste and consistency can be described as "

There are also chocolate and coffee flavored krówki available, additionally, there are sometimes modern versions for lactose intolerant consumers, made out ofsoy milk . The orignal recipe is hard to find nowadays since some of the original natural ingredients have been replaced with artificial ingredients. For example, the "Luxury Cream Fudge" made by Firma Cukiernicza Solidarnosc today lists the following ingredients MILK CREAM FUDGE Ingredients: sugar, glucose syrup, whole milk powder (10%), hydrogenated vegetable fat, skimmed milk powder (7%), emulsifiers (soya lecithin, monoglycerid of fatty acid E471), flavours. The taste and quality of some brands may no longer be the same as many Poles remember from their childhood.Krówki can be prepared at home, using a simple cast iron pan and the above mentioned ingredients.
