- Herbert Feis
Herbert Feis (born in 1893 in
New York , died in 1972) was an AmericanAuthor and former Economic Advisor for International Affairs to the Department of State in the Hoover and Roosevelt administrations.Feis was the Author of some 13 books and won the Pulitzer Prize for History for his work, Between War and Peace: The Potsdam Conference (1960). The book was about the Potsdam Conference and the origins of the Cold War.
The Herbert Feis Prize is awarded annually by the American Historical Association, the pre-eminent professional society of historians, to recognize the recent work of public historians or independent scholars.
Biography
Feis was born and raised on the lower east side of
