The character Eddy is a greedy, sociopathic con artist, Eddy is the self-appointed leader of the Eds. He goes to great lengths to scam the other kids out of a quarter, even at the expense of his friends' credibility. His efforts are all in the pursuit of jawbreakers, which he obsesses over even more than money. Eddy hates school and his report card labels him as a megalomaniac. Due to his shortness in height, he has something of an inferiority complex. Eddy loves his retro styled room, complete with a lava lamp, a large round king-sized bed, a disco ball, and a record player with a Tom Jones and Barry White record sitting next to it. Eddy is mostly seen commanding the other two Eds while he just slacks off.
