British Columbia toCalifornia , where it grows in coniferous forests. This is a smallshrub reaching a maximum height of about half a meter and covered in a foliage of threadlike to slightly oval leaves a few centimeters long. It may be glandular and resinous and slightly woolly or hairless. Atop each of the many erect branches is aninflorescence of golden yellow flowers. Each centimeter wide flower has long disc florets and some ray florets, and the dense inflorescence has resin glands and some woolly fibers.External links
