Webcor Builders

Webcor Builders is the largest commercial construction contractor in California, USA. The company is headquartered in San Mateo with offices in San Francisco, Hayward, Los Angeles, and San Diego, and clients include Starwood Lodging, Lucasfilm, Oracle Corporation, The California Academy of Sciences and Electronic Arts. Webcor currently has 1800 employees and over $2.5 billion of contracts in place.

Notable Webcor Projects

Over the last few years, as San Francisco revived its highrise desire, Webcor has built or is building many notable projects in downtown San Francisco listed below. Webcor has also been featured on the Discovery Channel's Extreme Engineering series for the California Academy of Sciences replacement project in Golden Gate Park.

Webcor cycling

Webcor Builders has also been a growing supporter of the sport of cycling over the past 6 years, and the third year that the company has sponsored a professional team.

Webcor men's cycling team

In 2004, US pro rider Chris Horner surprised the cycling community by signing with the then-little-known Webcor Builders squad. He has since signed with the Spanish Saunier-Duval team, and will race in Europe in 2005. Canadian Charles Dionne who took first in the San Francisco T-Mobile International in 2004, remains on Webcor's 2005 squad.

Webcor women's cycling team

The women's team includes Katheryn Curi who placed 1st in the Elite National Championships to become the 2005 National Road Race Champion and won the Geelong World Cup race on the 2008 UCI Women's Road World Cup. Also, pro rider Christine Thorburn who placed 4th in the 2004 Olympic time trial in Athens.
