Anja Kauranen

Anja Kauranen

Anja Kauranen (b. 1954, changed her name to Anja Snellman when married her first husband Saska Snellman) is a Finnish author.

A member of the Punkakatemia anthology, she made her breakthrough with the portrayal of youthful rebellion "Sonja O. kävi täällä".

Her novel "Pelon maantiede" caused a minor fracas for its graphic portrayal of sexual violence perpetrated by a group of women on a man as a retaliation for rape/sexual harassment.
