The conference was formed in the late 1950s. In the 1960s and for most of the 70s, teams in the conference were
Arlington-Green Isle Belle Plaine Jordan Le Center Le Sueur Montgomery New Prague Norwood-Young America
New Prague left the conference beginning with the 1979-80 school year as it had grown much quicker than the other schools. Mankato Loyola replaced New Prague.
In the early 1990s, Arlington-Green Isle merged with Gaylord and became Sibley East and Le Sueur merged with Henderson to become Le Sueur-Henderson.
Between 2000 and 2005, the two smallest schools in the conference, Loyola and Le Center, left the conference. Loyola was replaced by Mayer Lutheran and several years later Le Center was replaced by Holy Family Catholic.
For the 2011-12 school year, Holy Family Catholic left the conference and was replaced by Watertown-Mayer.
Beginning with the 2012-13 school year, Montgomery-Lonsdale will be consolidated with Le Center, and the new school name will be the Tri-City United Titans. The schools will begin offering combined teams in all sports beginning the winter of 2011-12, except in boys basketball where they will remain separate teams for one more year.
