Silver Flash Stakes

The Silver Flash Stakes is a Group 3 flat horse race in the Republic of Ireland open to two-year-old thoroughbred fillies. It is run over a distance of 7 furlongs (1,408 metres) at Leopardstown Racecourse and takes place annually in July.

It was transferred to its present venue in 1991, having previously taken place at Phoenix Park in early September. For the first two years at Leopardstown the race was contested in late October, after which it moved initially to early June and more recently to mid July.

In 1993 the distance of the race was cut to 6 furlongs. It continued at this length until returning to its former distance of 7 furlongs in 2007. The race was promoted from Listed to Group 3 status in 2008.
